Rogers previously worked with HGP from 2013 – 2016 as a talent buyer for festivals and series such as Solid Sound, Friendly Gathering, Concerts on the Green, and Grand Point North.
For the past three years, Rogers was the senior talent buyer for World Cafe Live in Philadelphia, booking over 400 shows a year between two venues.
“Over the past 20 years, our company has grown by building new festivals, concert series, and other special events. As we continue looking for opportunities to expand our reach and create new experiences for music fans, we felt it was important to bring on someone who can bring a level of detail and discipline. Matt Rogers was at the top of the list,” said Alex Crothers, owner and president of Higher Ground Presents. “It’s a thrill to have him back and sitting in a new seat. Matt brings to us experience, enthusiasm, and creative vision that will help us elevate our approach.”
“It’s exciting to get to work with the team on the current roster of amazing festivals and events that Higher Ground has built over the years. Alex has always been very open to pursuing new creative endeavors, which is very appealing to someone like me who has no shortage of crazy ideas,” said Rogers. “To be able to work for an independent company that is producing some of the largest and most successful events in the Northeast is incredibly rare and rewarding. I’m looking forward to being part of a company whose central focus is the artist and audience experience and am eager to establish new relationships with like-minded partners.”
