(June 29, 2025 – Worcester, MA) Horror icon Linda Blair is set to make her debut at Silver Scream Con V, New England’s premier horror convention, taking over the DCU Center in Worcester from October 2–4, 2026. Joining her for their first-ever Silver Scream appearances are Oscar and Golden-Globe nominee Juliette Lewis (Cape Fear), comedy and horror star Nick Swardson (A Haunted House), and Joel David Moore(Hatchet). In addition, the mastermind duo behind the Terrifier franchise, creator-director Damien Leone and David Howard Thornton (Art the Clown), are returning to haunt Worcester once again.
Created in 2022 by Spencer Charnas and his band Ice Nine Kills (INK), the three-day celebration brings together horror fans, film legends, and INK’s loyal “psychos” for an unforgettable gathering of the macabre. Silver Scream IV attracted 15,000 horror fans to Central Massachusetts last year.
“When we started this band, I never could’ve dreamt we’d launch and curate our own horror convention, let alone that we’d be staring down the barrel of its fifth year,” said Charnas the demented impresario who first dreamed up Silver Scream Con.
“The Psychos who support INK will make Silver Scream Con V the biggest yet, and I can’t wait to press the flesh once again alongside some brand new guests, like the great Linda Blair, and a few fiendish familiar faces.”
Winner of a Golden Globe and an Oscar nominee for her iconic role in The Exorcist, Linda Blair also starred in cult classics the women-in-prison film Chained Heat and the femme fatale vigilante action film Savage Streets, as well as Exorcist II: The Heretic and the spoof Possessed. In 2004, she founded the Linda Blair WorldHeart Foundation, a non-profit organization that works to rehabilitate and adopt rescue animals.
Juliette Lewis has been recognized as one of Hollywood’s most talented and versatile actors of her generation since she first stunned audiences and critics alike with her Oscar-nominated performance in Cape Fear (1991). Her career includes roles in acclaimed movies such as Who Killed Gilbert Grape, Natural Born Killers, and Quentin Tarantino’s vampire tale From Dusk Till Dawn.
Comedian Nick Swardson, best known for his recurring role as Tony Bernadino on Reno 911, starred in the horror-comedy A Haunted House, Grandma’s Boy, and Grown Ups, and can be heard in Hotel Transylvania 2, and the adult-animated horror comedy Hell and Back.
Joel David Moore starred in the cult classic Hatchet, appeared in Dodgeball, and is Dr. Norm Spellman in James Cameron’s Avatar franchise. He riffed on his cult comedic villain from Grandma’s Boy in Ice Nine Kills’ “The Great Unknown” music video.
Coming off the record-breaking success of Terrifier 3 (featuring INK’s “A Work of Art”), writer/director Damien Leone has been working on the next (and reportedly final) film in the series, this one set around New Year’s Eve. Filming on Terrifier 4 will begin later this year, with David Howard Thornton reprising his role as Art the Clown.
Silver Scream Con 5 takes over the DCU Center, 50 Foster Street in Worcester, MA, October 2–4, 2026. Single day and weekend passes are available at silverscreamcon.com.
