Cola Concerts Welcomes Allman Betts Band With Special Guest Tab Benoit Live at Columbia Speedway Entertainment Center

(Columbia, SC October 20, 2020) The Allman Betts Band will perform live for thousands of fans as part of the Cola Concerts Series at the newly launched Columbia Speedway Entertainment Center Saturday, November 21 at 8:00 PM. The seven-piece ensemble just released their sophomore album, “Bless Your Heart”, on August 28. Tab Benoit will open. The Allman Betts Band is the latest addition to the Cola Concerts Series, which features live performances by some of the top musicians and comedians touring today. The sons of Gregg Allman (Devon Allman) and Dickey Betts (Duane Betts) have joined forces to form The Allman Betts Band. The show features new music, songs from their solo projects and classic Allman Brothers and Gregg Allman tunes in honor of the 50th Anniversary of The Allman Brothers Band. Their debut album, released on June 28, 2019, was recorded at the legendary Muscle Shoals Sound Studios and produced by Matt Ross-Spang (Jason Isbell, Margo Price, John Prine and Elvis Presley). ABB’s sophomore effort was also recorded at Muscle Shoals with Matt Ross-Spang producing and was released on August 28.

 

The Allman Betts Band includes Devon Allman, Duane Betts, Berry Oakley Jr. (son of original Allman Brothers Band bassist Berry Oakley), Johnny Stachela on slide guitar, John Ginty on Hammond B3 (Robert Randolph/Dixie Chicks) and Devon Allman Project percussionists R. Scott Bryan (Sheryl Crow) and John Lum.

 

One of the most impressive guitarists to emerge from the rich Bayous of Southern Louisiana, Tab Benoit has been performing for nearly 30 years. Known for his Otis-Redding-ish voice and his incredible talent on the guitar, Benoit has put out more than a dozen albums and launched his own record label.

 

The Cola Concerts Series will also welcome Shovels and Rope Saturday, November 14, St. Paul and the Broken Bones Friday, November 20, Ranky Tanky Sunday, November 22, and Wynonna Judd Thursday, December 10.

 

The Cola Concerts Series at the Columbia Speedway Entertainment Center will feature a pair of 40-foot state-of-the-art digital screens allowing for picture-perfect viewing even during daylight hours. With a capacity of 3500, the site will be one of the largest entertainment experiences operating in South Carolina. Fans will be able to safely experience live music, comedy and love broadcasts of professional and collegiate sports from special coves, which are 12’x12’ areas enclosed by posts and ornamental rope. The coves will be big enough for up to four fans to safely socially distance from others.

 

Tickets for Allman Betts with special guest Tab Benoit, Saturday, November 21, 8:00PM at the Columbia Speedway Entertainment Center go on sale Friday, October 23, 10:00 AM at ColaConcerts.com. Tickets will also be available the night of show at the gate, subject to availability. Each ticket will admit one guest and range from $20 to $45 depending on where the guest wants to sit.
