Sean Altman Brings His Unkosher Satire

(Cambridge, MA December 3, 2018) Sean Altman is JEWMONGOUS and he is bringing along all of his characters for a Christmas Eve concert full of fun and funny songs to Club Passim in Harvard Square. Described as “Wickedly humorous” (Los Angeles Times), and “Full of catchy melodies, clever arrangements and lyrics that yield satiric gems.” (Washington Post), a night with Jewmongous is the perfect way to spend Christmas Eve while others are in church with their in-laws. New York based writer, musician and actress Cynthia Kaplan opens the show.

The golden-voiced song-writing wiz and former leader/founder of Rockapella (ye of”Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego?” TV fame), Altman debuted JEWMONGOUS in 2006. According to Altman, he has been performing “naughty ditties that both celebrate and lovingly skewer the trials and tribulations of the tribe.” Building off the success of his debut album, Taller than Jesus, Altman’s most recent album, The Least Jewy Jew in Jewville, is a hilarious collection of satire is full of tracks like: “Grandpa Max’s Phresh Jew Thang”, “Phantom Foreskin”, and “Jesus Christ’s Bar Mitzvah.” PRUDISH PARENTAL ADVISORY: JEWMONGOUS welcomes all faiths and creeds, but is not appropriate for children.
